The Father

De Vader is an intense psychological drama about a father with dementia, André, who moves in with his daughter Anne after he has chased away his last home nurse. What follows is a painfully disruptive struggle with a reality that is increasingly crumbling. Voor Anne, the care for her father becomes a test of love, patience, and saying goodbye to someone who no longer recognizes her. Based on the internationally awarded play by Florian Zeller - later filmed with Anthony Hopkins and Olivia Colman - één zee now brings a new theater production with Lucas Van den Eynde, Marieke Dilles, David Cantens, Mathias Vergels, Ann De Winne, and Lotte Stevens.
