Guided tour of Lijsternest

Discover the Lijsternest, the former home of writer Stijn Streuvels. A guide takes you through the house, and dwells on the history of the house and the major renovation that was completed in 2015. Tijdens Open Monumentendag you can visit the home for free. Throughout the day, tours are provided by the guides of the Streuvelshuis. This way you learn about the Streuvels and the history of his house. Between 2008 and 2014, the Lijsternest was thoroughly renovated. Our guides will go into this more deeply. This way you will find out how we as an organization take care of Streuvels' home which is protected as a monument.
