Tower Music 2026 - Ludo Geloen (BE)

Ludo Geloen (°1962, Dikkebus) was director at the Kunstacademie Poperinge between 2008 and 2025. Previously, he was a teacher of organ and minor subjects at the academies of Ypres, Poperinge, and Diksmuide. As resident organist at the Ieperse St.-Maarten-St.-Niklaas Cathedral, he plays an organ matinee every Thursday between 1 PM and 2 PM. As city carillonneur of Ypres, he plays a carillon concert every Saturday between 2 PM and 3 PM from the Belfry. He is also the city carillonneur of Poperinge, composer, and improviser. He followed his musical education in the 80s of the last century at the Gentse Koninklijke Conservatorium and obtained first prizes for organ and writing. Aan de Koninklijke Beiaardschool ‘Jef Denyn’ in Mechelen, he obtained the Laureate diploma for carillon playing in 1998.
