Young Belgian Strings

Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky Souvenir of Florence, op.70 Famous for his symphonic works and his operas, Piotr Ilitch Tchaïkovski also composed some striking chamber music pieces. Among them, Souvenir de Florence is a true jewel. Written for string sextet (often played by a string orchestra), the work, inspired by a happy moment in the composer's life, evokes the bright and warm atmosphere of Italy.
