Today you can bring your favorite stuffed animal to the theater hall and for once it will be lent to science. You will get an answer to the big question: can teddy bears really live? With humor, magic, and lots of imagination, it becomes a wonderful experiment about comfort, security, and imagination. Is any form of life possible!? Could it be? Or is it just absurd? The ursus adulans ad dormiendum – freely translated the Teddy Bear or simply Cuddly – consists in most cases of fabric, thread, and a negligible percentage of plastic. But for the most part (95%) of … plush! Testimonies from extremely young people tell of feelings of security, comfort, safety, and yes, even love for this composition of fabric, thread, and … plush! These large groups of individuals come from all over the world, with stories that move even our most hardened scientists to tears. The question becomes increasingly urgent. Could it be possible that a correct combination of these three materials (fabric, thread, and … plush!) triggers a certain reaction, causing the whole of these masses to be brought to a certain viability? In other words … Do they live??? Speelman chases the imagination to the heights and drags his audience into a humorous, magical, wonderful, scientific experiment, performed on the highly personal stuffed animals of the children. They bring those stuffed animals to the performance and lend them to science for once. After the performance, the toddlers and preschoolers of course get their stuffed animal back unharmed, although they will look at it just a little differently. ‘Plush’ is a performance about security, comfort, joy, companionship, protection … but above all about imagination, lots of imagination! So don't forget to bring your favorite stuffed animal!!!
