Can we mourn together? In a constantly changing landscape of blue sails, a woman makes her way alone through her raw loss. While she seeks different ways to give her mourning a place, she bumps into awkward reactions from her environment and covered memories. RauwRouw takes you on and through waves of speaking images and recognizable situations. Through a physical and visual language, this vulnerable performance tries to give shape to the intangible theme. It shows a search for connection and support in mourning. The performance is almost wordless, except for a few sentences and a small piece of voice-over in Dutch. The performance is also understandable and suitable for non-native speakers.
