Twee Supernova laureates and three young, top Belgian composers take you through a compositional story and do not shy away from any challenge! Koi Collective (Emmy Wils & Maarten Vergauwen) and Goggles (Wim Pelgrims & Esther-Elisabeth Rispens) enter into an experimental and alternative collaboration with three friendly composers: Michiel De Naegel, Siebe Thijs, and Maya Verlaak. Do not expect a standard performance! Here, new constructions between composer and performer are explored, and the idea of the composer who creates and delivers his work, as a genius above audience and performer, is undermined. The performers are involved in the creative process and can influence the course of the performance together with the audience. But this is not all! The composers themselves enter the stage, where their physical presence makes the dynamic between composer, performer, and audience tangible. Here they get control, they steer, they interrupt, they support, they irritate; a living representation of musical interaction that varies from subtle observation to central action.
