One of the most famous and best-selling live albums ever is 'Made in Japan' by Deep Purple. And let's be honest: in their most successful line-up - Gillan, Glover, Lord, Blackmore and Paice - the band produced an iconic double live album, recorded during three sold-out Deep Purple-shows in Osaka and Tokyo in 1972, containing irresistible hits like 'Highway Star', 'Child in Time' and 'Smoke on the Water'. Made in Purple has a clear mission: to bring this magical album live in all its glory and passion. The band consists of four experienced session and live musicians (teachers at the Conservatorium van Gent and Brussels) and the flamboyant singer Pieter Jan Paepe (Jesus in the musical Jesus Christ Superstar). Driven by passion, enthusiasm, and the hard rock virus of the '70s, these musicians return to the roots. With respect for the original sound, solos, and songs, they bring a full, 90-minute magical live experience.
