Wijnkasteel Genoels-Elderen in Riemst is the largest and only real wine castle in Belgium. The wine estate makes high-quality still wine, based on the wine grapes Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Since 1991, the van Rennes family has revived the centuries-old wine tradition at this historic site, which dates back to Roman times. The estate now covers about 22 hectares of vineyards.
