OFFSHŌRE

OFFSHŌRE is a musical hide-out created by composer Patricia Vanneste (Sohnarr) in collaboration with Sonhouse. It offers a safe haven, a place of recognition for everyone who sometimes does not feel completely in their place, especially in places where fun seems to play the leading role and your inner world is at odds with that outside world. This special place is inspired by the symbolism of the cold drop of sweat that runs down your back on a warm beach because your inner world feels so different from the world around you. Within this unique setting, music becomes a powerful means to give space to what you feel and to make contact with others who may share the same experience. Take a seat, alone or with two, and let the music carry you away while the cold drop of sweat of loneliness and misunderstanding makes way for a warm wave of recognition and togetherness. The music in OFFSHŌRE is also the soundtrack that Vanneste composed for the TV series Knokke Off from the request to create music that reflects how at odds the inner world of the characters is with the environment in which they have to move.
