It is the darkest night of the year. After all, tonight the street lighting goes out (or at least a part of it). Tonight we pause for a moment to consider the effects of artificial light on plants, animals and humans.
Between 7:00 PM and 9:00 PM, a nature guide departs every quarter of an hour for a short family-friendly walk to the center of Blaasvelds Broek.
There you can admire a piece of the starry sky through a telescope. We speak with great enthusiasm about the animals of the night and the municipal administration of Willebroek provides soup and hot chocolate. Everything is in place for an exciting evening activity.
This activity is free. It is a collaboration between Natuurpunt, the Agency for Nature and Forest, the municipality of Willebroek, the Nature Guides of the Broek and the Association for Sterrenkunde Klein-Brabant.
