Sunday, June 21 Concert 5: Romina Lischka - Captain Hume's Viol Viola da Gamba solo Tobias Hume and William Lawes were two colorful figures from the early Baroque period who combined music and military life. Hume, a Scottish composer and gamba player, served in various European armies and incorporated his military experiences into his music - he is also considered the earliest known user of the col legno technique.
