Bertembos is an old forest with an area of approximately 100ha. It has long been managed as a coppice forest. Beech and pedunculate oak make up 75% of the tree population, but red oak, sycamore, sweet chestnut, hornbeam, and sweet cherry are also abundantly present. We go in search of trees that stand out for their thickness and height or for a special shape, an unusual leaf, or a strange trunk. We also discover a rare tree species.
