Thursday, July 9 at 8 PM Yumi Nakamura, Oleksandra Makarova and Timothy Couck We are starting the series of summer concerts with a unique collaboration between three countries! Yumi Nakamura from Japan brings her unique oriental sounds to the carillon with traditional and well-known music. Oleksandra Makarova from Ukraine is a fresh graduate of the Royal Carillon School and will amaze you with her top talent. Timothy Couck, assistant carillonneur of Puurs, will make new well-known songs sound on the carillon! In addition to individual songs, unique four-handed compositions will also be played. We are already looking forward to bringing you a wide range of emotions! Thursday, July 23 at 8 PM Kayla Gunderson and Alex Johnson De Amerikaanse carillonneurs Kayla Gunderson and Alex Johnson are guests in Puurs! They both obtained their diploma at the Koninklijke Beiaardschool in Mechelen. Their program will be a dialogue between original carillon compositions and popular melodies. In addition to impressive carillon works that sometimes sound like fluttering butterflies, the wind, ripples, and more, you as a listener will also hear recognizable tunes from jazz, pop, and musical theater. A light, summery mix to enjoy the carillon on Thursday, August 6 in the heart of Puurs, under the tower! De Puurse carillonneur Dina Verheyden is making a varied selection to make the bells sound at their most beautiful. Thursday, August 20 at 8 PM Richard de Waardt and The Simons Beiaardier Richard de Waardt is inspired by The Simons and will make the Puurs carillon sing with hits from the 70s to the present. Van Metallica to Coldplay and from the Beatles to Radiohead. Sing-alongs are allowed! At this concert, the sounds of the bells will also partially merge with the guitars of the Simons. Come and experience this at the foot of the bell tower on the church square in Puurs! Please keep in mind that the tower staircase has 150 steps and the last part is quite steep. Per Beklimming a maximum of 8 visitors are allowed. During any waiting time, the beautiful interior of the church can be visited. Wear sporty footwear. The minimum age is 6 years and young people up to 16 years must always be accompanied by an adult. The climb up the tower takes about an hour. An entrance ticket to visit the tower costs 5 euros. Reservation is mandatory via the webshop of the municipality of Puurs-Sint-Amands. Arrive on time; we will gather at the entrance of the church.
