It doesn't get more Danish: fresh folk with the head in the clouds and the feet on the ground
“They're world class. Now the world needs to hear them”, wrote Sing Out about Dreamers' Circus. Het Deense trio mixes folk traditions with jazz improvisation and classical finesse into music that sounds fairy-tale-like without becoming sugary. They are all super musicians. Violist Rune Tonsgaard Sørensen has the symphonic sound in the fingers, pianist Nikolaj Busk commutes between folk and pop and the Zweed Ale Carr is the dreamed rhythm section. The sound? That of fluttering swallow wings in the face of warmer times.
