Sam Vloemans - Bord du Nord II

‘Bord du Nord II’ is an intimate ode to the power of vulnerability, brought by a top Belgian quartet led by composer, musician, and producer Sam Vloemans. The project received its first life in 2008 and grew, between many other musical wanderings, into a new album full of mesmerizing compositions. In this series of miniature landscapes, the music invites you to listen with your eyes closed. Vloemans’ trumpet weeps and breathes, the accordion and bandoneon of Gwen Cresens whisper stories, while the piano of Dominique Vantomme and the double bass of Lara Rosseel form a warm, pulsing bed.
