Reynaert

Reynaert is the new solo program by folk guitarist Jeroen Knapen, one of the leading DADGAD guitarists in various ensembles. After twenty years of stage experience, he now presents a personal show in which music and story come together. Inspired by the medieval animal epic Van den vos Reynaerde, Jeroen composed new music and arranged historical repertoire for a selection of scenes. With his lyrical playing style and strong focus on melody, he brings the world of Reynaert to life in music: sometimes playful and ironic, then again dark or moving. The audience is taken along in an intimate solo concert with the acoustic guitar in the lead role, in which every note invites you to listen, dream away, and enjoy purely.
