Kleerbeek Walk (7 km)

In ‘Het Mooi Alternatief’ you are welcome in the beauty center, the health food store, and the bistro. The self-harvest garden ‘Het Levend Land’ provides healthy natural products. The castle of Kleerbeek with water mill and ornamental gardens has been in the hands of the Troostembergh family for more than 250 years. After a steep climb through Troostembergh forest, now owned by the Flemish government, we visit the famous chapel in honor of Our Lady of the Stokskes on the Roeselberg. We cross the Walenbos along the Doolaag, a difficult-to-access swamp area. In ‘Openweide’, children in a difficult home situation, among others, can go for temporary guidance. Boots or sturdy shoes are recommended.
