3'Ain - Boke Hertals

3’Ain brings jazz with oriental influences in a lineup that is as unusual as it is enchanting. Trumpet, accordion, and double bass flow together into a characteristic sound in which jazz and sounds from the Middle East find each other effortlessly. The trio originated from a special musical encounter. Yamen Martini, who left Syria and ended up in Belgium, found a kindred spirit in Piet Maris. Their collaboration grew and gained a new dimension when Otto Kint also joined. 3’Ain saw the light of day and has since been building bridges between cultures and styles. With their debut EP in 2020 and the album Sea of Stories from 2023, the trio built their own universe. Their compositions often breathe the atmosphere of Ostend, where they regularly create, with references to the harbor and its stories. Live, a musical landscape is created that is at once intimate, compelling, and adventurous.
