NATASHIA KELLY BAND - CLUB CONCERT: LET'S MAKE A NEW BEGINNING IN THIS COLD SEASON

With a crystal-clear voice, poetic lyrics, and strong songs, Natashia Kelly grabs you by the throat every time. Natashia was born in Belgium with Irish roots, she is a singer and composer. De Sean-nós-singing tradition (Irish a cappella) forms an important source of inspiration in her approach to music and singing. With the new (third) album LET'S MAKE A NEW BEGINNING IN THIS COLD SEASON, she presents new work on the label Challenge Records International. The music is rooted in jazz: improvisation, interplay, and rhythm. Natashia's voice, and the guitars and electronics of Benjamin Sauzereau, determine a large part of the sound. The rhythm sections of Yannick Peeters and Dré Pallemaerts propel the rhythm forward. The content testifies to these turbulent times, doubts, and uncertainty. Songs like: “Let's make a new beginning”, “Cassandra's Horses” about time catching up with us, “What to do with the time given to me”, resonate with the feelings of this time. Natashia draws her inspiration from artists such as Jeff Buckley, Arooj Aftab, Joni Mitchell, Sting, Paul Simon, and others. Release concert on the occasion of the release of her third album.
