With this film, director Valérie Donzelli focuses on following the intimate life of a recluse, in spaces where he no longer finds his place: the basement studio where he locks himself away, and the more affluent places where he lines up jobs for individuals who have the means to delegate the thankless tasks of their daily lives. She thus offers an incisive look at the "uberization" of the labor market and directly addresses the issues of precariousness and the cynical spiral of capitalism toward pauperization.
