From fashion to ostriches An exclusive look behind the scenes at a Belgian fashion house, a delicious lunch, and a surprising encounter with the largest birds in the world. A day full of atmosphere, taste, and discovery! We are setting off for a surprising day in the Meetjesland. A varied program in which gastronomy, Belgian fashion, and an original introduction to the ostrich alternate: Our day starts at Coffee House 't Kanteelke in Aalter, an atmospheric former worker's house from 1907. In this cozy setting, we enjoy a delicious lunch, prepared with fresh market products. After lunch, we pay an exclusive visit to the Belgian fashion house Marie Méro. We are received with coffee and discover through a short company presentation how a fashion collection is created. Then we take a look behind the scenes in the various departments and visit the showroom. During the visit, there is no possibility to purchase clothing. Every participant will receive a goodie bag with a voucher of € 20, valid in a Marie Méro Concept Store. In the late afternoon, we drive to Schobbejaks Hoogte, where we get acquainted with the fascinating world of the ostrich. During a fascinating guided tour, we discover everything about the life of these special animals, from chick to adult ostrich. We get to know the numerous products that are manufactured from the ostrich and conclude the visit with a tasting of ostrich liqueur and ostrich pâté.
