Enjoy the silence, Naima Joris

Naima Joris is a Belgian singer and multi-instrumentalist who broke through with her penetrating, sober style in which mourning, stillness, and comfort are central. Her warm, fragile voice and minimal, often acoustic arrangements make her work recognizable and moving. She captured the attention of a wide audience with her cover of Sodade during the first lockdown. Currently, Naima is on tour with her new album Enjoy the Silence (2025), a sober, subdued record full of personal covers by, among others, Nick Drake, Billie Holiday, and Tom Waits. Accompanied by the warm euphonium of Niels Van Heertum, Naima takes the listener into her own special world, where she gently bends the songs of others into something that is entirely her own.
