Guest: Micha Volders Mutropia Showcase

Micha Volders is a musician, producer, visual artist and teacher at PXL Music. From a background in the underground scene, he developed a hybrid practice in which music, film and performance constantly flow into each other. He obtained a master's degree in Animation Film at RITCS and has since consistently operated outside the classical formats of both cinema and music. Volders began as a bassist in local bands and in 1996 became the drummer of El Guapo Stuntteam, with which he toured European punk clubs for years. After the band's breakup, he founded the experimental project Vermin Twins together with Lotte Vanhamel, a surrealistic universe that navigates between noise, electronics, performance and fiction, with releases like Exoskeleton (2010), Bare Bones / Spiritus (2021) and PoP (2022). Op Roxy Music Fest Micha brings a unique showcase with video clips from his production house and record label Mutropia, which, just like the festival, is blowing out five candles. Other guests are: Lotte Vanhamel, Jaak De Digitale, Tim Geelen, Miet Warlop and Lennert Jacobs (The Germans). Following this, his short film ‘SǒN’ will also be screened.
