Oude Pastorij Burcht: in good hands

new residents in the rectory The oude pastorij from the middle of the 18th century stood empty after the departure of the last pastor. This did the building no good. The municipality offered the building as cultural infrastructure. The building is alive again. Among others, the Heemkundige Kring Zwijndrecht Burcht found shelter there. Here is their archive space, where everything is kept that has to do with the past of the villages Zwijndrecht and Burcht. Toen de Sint-Martinus Church was deconsecrated, a number of objects did not find a second home. The local history society therefore kept a number of things with a direct link to Burcht. In the garden, an old sundial from a nearby demolished farm also found a new destination. An old beech tree provides cooling.
