World Festival 2026

Het Wereldfeest is back in Leuven! After a one-year break, the 36th edition of the Wereldfeest (World Festival) will take place on Saturday, June 6, 2026, this time in the Paul Van Ostaijenpark in Heverlee. Since the first edition in 1988, this unique festival has brought thousands of people together around multicultural solidarity, human rights, and inclusion. Het Wereldfeest wants, just like before, to be an accessible meeting place where everyone feels welcome and seen. We celebrate diversity in all its forms: culture, gender, age, ethnicity, faith, orientation, and skills. We strengthen the bond between Greater Leuven organizations and the general public. Due to limited resources, the focus this year is less on music and more on content, dialogue, and connection. Leuven associations and engaged individuals are invited to help shoulder this connecting event
