SUMMER TOURS 2026 - Provinciedomein Palingbeek

PROVINCIAL DOMAIN PALINGBEEK - ZILLEBEKE - 7 KM Provinciedomein Palingbeek has grown in recent years into a particularly varied landscape of more than 250 hectares. The originally quite strict park management evolved over the past 25 years into nature management, where spontaneous development and native species are increasingly given opportunities. During this walking tour, we will explore the lesser-known northwestern part of the domain, between the Bernikkewallestraat and the canal trench. Here, landscape variation is truly a trump card with orchards, grasslands with hedges and wood edges, pools, the old forest along the canal trench, the old lock, … Keep your ears open for little grebes and marsh warblers, sharpen your binoculars for possible encounters with birds of prey, deer, squirrels, and above all, enjoy the peace and beauty of this landscape, which has been restored after the war years. These 4 domain walks are: July 1: provincial domain Palingbeek - July 8: ANB domain Viconia clay pits - July 15: provincial domain Kemmelberg - August 19: ANB domain Sint Sixtusbossen.   SUMMER TOURS 2026 General Summer Tours is an organization of Natuurpunt De Bron and partners. In this 17th edition, there are 25 walks; on every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evening in July and August.
