The Zac Schulze Gang (UK) British power trio comes to demonstrate debut album ‘Straight to It’. The blues-infected rock-’n-roll of The Zac Schulze Gang will blow you completely off your feet on Saturday, July 18. Frontman and guitarist Zac Schulze is a virtuoso top talent such as you rarely experience, but it is above all the collective energy of the ‘gang’ that makes the band so great. With his brother Ben Schulze on drums and Ant Greenwell on bass, they bring a solid wall of sound, built from punk, funk, country, jazz, soul, metal, and pop. The trio first gained the necessary experience in the punk circuit of the Verenigd Koninkrijk. During the infamous corona pandemic, Zac stumbled upon a YouTube clip of Rory Gallagher: a revelation that definitively determined the direction of the band. After quite a few extra live kilometers, the breakthrough came during the – very appropriate – Rory Gallagher Tribute Festival in 2022, a set that quickly catapulted them into a permanent fixture within the British blues scene. Since then, they have grown into true road warriors, with more than 250 performances per year and tours throughout Europe. Their dedication ensured that the band won the UK Blues Awards for Best Emerging Blues Band in 2024. In 2025, the first full-fledged debut album ‘Straight to It’ appeared, a varied and energetic record that sets the tone for what you can expect live: tons of energy and musical craftsmanship.
