That too is fate and that too I embrace with pleasure.” Jan Jaap van der Wal has now been a 'Fleming in training' for 10 years and is an indispensable part of the Flemish theaters and on television. The love is mutual and to celebrate that, Jan Jaap is bringing his biggest show to date in Flanders. “Because whether we perish from a possible war, or from a budget deficit, or we choke on a shrimp croquette at the seaside, perish we will anyway, so let's do it with a big smile.” Jan Jaap van der Wal has been a comedian for almost thirty years and has made four full-evening shows in Flanders since 2015, including the acclaimed election conference 'Geen Stem'. On television, he caused a stir as a jury member of De Slimste Mens ter Wereld and as a presenter of De Ideale Wereld and Jan Jaap Op Zondag.
