When, due to war, global warming, rebellious AI, and gender mislabeling, living conditions on Earth threatened to become increasingly impossible, it was decided in 2060 to build a settlement space station on Mars. Four years later, a team of scientists is sent to Mars to rebuild human civilization from the ground up. When the four arrive there and wake up from their cryo-cell, they receive the message that a better planet has been found and that their mission is no longer important. But their trip to Mars was a one-way ticket. ‘Mars 2064’ is a tragicomic quest for what it means to be human.
