Are we aware of the vulnerability of our democracies? Can a democracy work if we no longer trust each other? In a far-reaching adaptation of Ilja Leonard Pfeijffers's monumental novel, Zuidpool brings the story of Alkibiades. None other than top actress Sofie Decleir gives shape to Greece's most controversial politician, who is unable to choose between his boundless self-love and the general interest of his people. Koen van Kaam Koen van Kaam has formed the artistic core of Zuidpool together with Jorgen Cassier since 2005.
