Nick and I are two peas in a pod. We do everything together. We eat together, We make music together, We survive together. We are sitting together in this bunker. Deep underground. Because the world has ended. We think. A volcanic eruption? A nuclear war? A comet? Who can say. Something very dramatic, in any case. With lots of blood and screaming and explosions. Or a global epidemic without a vaccine or something. Anyway. 'It doesn't really matter', says Nick. 'Nothing matters, as long as the door of this bunker stays closed', says Nick. Nick knows a lot. Good thing. I don't know that much. I am mostly afraid. Nick isn't, he says. But I know that's not true. I know him so well that I know what he thinks and feels. I think. After the successful productions LIV, DETHLEFF, JOHN&JANE, MELISSA, and JORDY, De Mannschaft makes NICKENIK, a new production for young people. Again with the same concept: a nice, solid theme brought with lots of humor and a language that is spot-on for young people or anyone who has ever been young.
