Due to angry pleas from his fellow villagers and gigantic amounts of money, the shepherd and his daughter Francesca come under increasing pressure, and the developers try to force the sale with devious tactics.\n\nRiccardo Milani's film, based on true events, takes place in a magnificent landscape and is a warm, funny and ultimately quite poignant David and Goliath story with great performances, especially by amateur actor Loi (a real shepherd) as the unlikely hero. A heartwarming underdog story about things that cannot be bought, including beautiful landscapes and an unmistakably Italian perspective.\n\nThe film is inspired by the life of the Sardinian shepherd Ovidio Marras, who passed away in January 2024 at the age of 93.
