Regisseur Nic Balthazar follows in this warm, intimate, and often disarmingly funny documentary actor-writer Rudy Morren, who gathers a close-knit group of friends around him after his Parkinson's diagnosis. While he undergoes a major brain surgery, his "Team" grows into a powerful network of solidarity and hope. For creator Nic Balthazar, the project is also personal: his father also lives with Parkinson's. When actor and author Rudy Morren receives a Parkinson's diagnosis, his life seems to come to a standstill. Instead of withdrawing, he steps into his local pub and openly asks for help. Thus, "Team Rudy" is quickly born: a colorful and loving group of friends, colleagues, and neighbors who surround him in the most difficult moments, but also in unique connection parties full of humor and emotion. The core group includes actor Michaël Pas and the young theater maker Aline Cornelissen, who together with Rudy continue to search for how art, friendship, and care can strengthen each other.
