Sharpen your mind in the afternoon with hot topics and a warm bowl of (vegetarian) soup. Engaging speakers analyze current themes with a Brussels perspective. Difficult questions are explained in an understandable way. Afterwards there is time for questions and reflections from the audience. Food for body and mind, every first Tuesday of the month! Philosophizing with children (in a digital world) Why is there war? What is time? Why do we die? Children ask many questions. How do you answer difficult questions without dodging them? During this session, discover how you can talk with children about difficult and sensitive topics. Philosopher and researcher at Odisee Hogeschool Eef Cornelissen takes you through how to make room for child-appropriate conversations about big themes such as grief, fear, loss and injustice. Furthermore, Digisaurus will discuss screen time and digital media with Eef. Because today children encounter many difficult topics via screens: news, videos, social media and games. An inspiring lecture and dialogue about listening, slowing down, and thinking together – offline and online.
