This summer, we are also organizing on the Dokter Roosensplein de Zomeravonden on three Thursday evenings in August.
You can come and enjoy a nice cold drink and a cozy evening full of music together with your friends, family, and neighbors.
On August 6, it is Johnny Van Riems's turn as the opening act and Tijgers as the main act.
Johnny van Riems.
De Limburgse enfants terribles of the Punk Rock ‘n Roll. Resurrected from the ashes of long-emptied cafés, forged from the juiciest dialect of Flanders, stubbornness, and a pint too many. Think of a bastard child of CPeX, The Hives, Danko Jones, and a totally misplaced dash of De Kreuners. It shouldn't work, but strangely enough, it does, so you will be singing along.
Tijgers
Vier brothers. Three chords. Two half-truths. One love for music. That is what summarizes Tijgers. Flemish clay punk at its best, in the spirit of De Kreuners, Trockener Kecks, with a touch of Social Distortion and Bouncing Souls.
Fun fact: They sing in Dutch because they honestly admit that English is simply too difficult.
In 3 words: Raw, honest, and swift
3 chords, 2 half-truths, 1 great love for music.
