Open Monumentendag: in search of archaeological sites in Postel

The heritage department and Chamber for Local History chose a walk in the idyllic and charming Postel this year. The occasion is the upcoming publication of the book Postelse Heide – Van Poolwoestrijn to Sahara, a historical landscape study by authors Karel Leenders and Bruno Indekeu. First, we will visit the plague house in the renovated abbey garden. On a staff map, we can see where the archaeological sites of Postel are located. Then we walk through the witherenheide to De Berg in 't Perk where we stop at a burial mound. The burial mound on the Bladel Stukken has disappeared, but we are going to look for the correct location. You can register for a walk at 10 AM or 2 PM. The walk is 6 kilometers and lasts 2 hours. The number of participants is limited to 25 people.
