De Canadese Deborah Hennig has a background as a classical pianist and a diploma in piano playing, both of which have influenced her carillon playing. She began her carillon studies with Dr. Andrea McCrady at the Peace Tower in Ottawa (Canada) and later continued her full-time studies at the Koninklijke Beiaardschool in Mechelen. She graduated with high distinction in 2021 and obtained her carillon accreditation from the Guild of Carillonneurs in North America (GCNA) that same year. Deborah performs regularly at St. George's Anglican Church in Guelph and has given concerts throughout Europe and North America. She is also an active arranger of carillon music and is part of the Franco-composition committee of the GCNA.
