BOTA KIDS: Children's games

A musical morning for young and old, filled with dreams, games and funny animals. Before the concert, starting at 10:00 AM , discover DROOM DRONE, a participatory project by MUS-E Belgium created with students from an OKAN class at the Anneessens-Funck school and artists Ewoud Van Eetvelde and Jeroen Smets. Dreams, memories, voices, and rhythms intertwine in a living sound sculpture, around which the artists offer spontaneous visual and musical interventions. The audience is free to listen, experiment, or participate at their own pace. At 11 a.m. , it's time for BOTA KIDS: CHILDREN'S GAMES . Do fish sing? Do birds play? Can animals be poets? Yes! Animals can be creative and imaginative, and among humans, perhaps children are the ones who sense this best. The excellent Cikada Ensemble, from Norway, takes its name from cicadas, which also vibrate and sing. Its ten instrumentalists offer a concert specially designed for families, sure to pique the listener's curiosity. We'll listen to the sounds of fish singing along the Great Barrier Reef ( Seafloor Dawn Chorus by Kristine Tjøgersen), African children hurtling down hillsides wrapped in tires ( #29 by Pierre Slinckx, set to a video by Francis Alÿs), and even nocturnal animal celebrations… because in Kristine Tjøgersen's work, a special guest of Ars Musica 2026, bats dance too!
