Heather Nova

Heather Nova broke through in 1994 with the album ‘Oyster’. With her strong, compelling songs, she immediately established herself on the international indie pop scene and has continued to release records and perform worldwide ever since. Her live performances are what her fans remember most. With a voice that sounds powerful and angelic, she knows how to fill large festivals as well as enchant intimate theaters, sometimes only accompanied by a cellist. In February 2025, her thirteenth album ‘Breath and Air’ was released on V2 Records. It is a collection of atmospheric songs, rich in melody and text, with Heather's characteristic voice as a connecting element. The album invites you to let go of everything for a moment and yet come closer to yourself. In March 2026, a live double album followed, recorded during a sold-out European tour. Both older favorites and songs from ‘Breath and Air’ get a pure, intense performance here, with Heather on guitar and Midori Jaeger on cello and backing vocals. Heather says herself: “Something magical happens during live performances that you cannot imitate in the studio. When I feel the energy of the audience, I reach another level in my singing. Live music is becoming increasingly important: experiencing music together reminds us of the value of real human connection.”
