one-day festival OUT OF SERVICE in Hoepertingen

BUITEN DIENST is a new one-day festival by B-Classic, Cultuurcentrum De Velinx, MoMeNT Festival and CLTR Tongeren-Borgloon. Every year it highlights a different church village of Tongeren-Borgloon with a surprising route full of music, performance, film, theater, humor and art in special locations. On Sunday, September 20, Hoepertingen forms the setting for the very first edition, where the village shows a completely different side of itself for one day.\n\nDiscover a versatile lineup with music from Lenny Lenny, the solo project of Lennert Coorevits (Compact Disk Dummies), which breathes vintage seventies and serves irresistibly danceable grooves, the genial saxophonist ALBAN, who released his highly praised debut album To Break Your Heart this spring, and Guy Van Nueten & Decent Music Ensemble, good for homegrown neoclassical splendor.\n\nKarl Meesters, known from the gripping VRT program Niks Te Zien, presents rien à voir: an unseen concert experience with members of the Vlaams Radiokoor. De Elfurenband and Noémie Schellens return, after success in De Velinx, and bring Adil Benhsain, while violinist Mikko Pablo treats the audience to intimate private concerts.\n\nFilm also gets a prominent place. Dreez Cox and Natasja Briers present their award-winning short films. On the humor front, top Limburgers Jan Linssen and Lev Vanorbeek provide the necessary laughter, while the Climate Poets with their engaged word art give a voice to the times we live in.\n\nTheater lovers can turn to Collectief Verlof, which brings the monologue Geen Kafka. Schippers & Van Gucht take you into the gripping 360° VR experience Nergens and Johnny Mus stimulates the imagination of curious ears from five years old with Staartensymfonie.\n\nBUITEN DIENST temporarily puts Hoepertingen on a different track. The festival takes over the entire village, from the Sint Vedastuskerk, the Presbytery, Zaal De Golmeerzouw, Château de Looz, Chiro Bloesems, Ter Heide and VBS Het Appelmanneke to the Guru Ramdas Ji Gurdwara.\n\nCome wander.
