BELvue on wheels

THE BELVUE MUSEUM THAT EXPORTS ITSELF TO YOU. "BELvue sur roulettes" consists of four suitcases filled with historical and contemporary objects that can be worked on in groups. Each object serves as a starting point for a conversation, evokes memories, creates inspiration, and brings people together around different stories. The goal of the suitcases is to create a bond between participants by listening, sharing, and learning from one another... Each suitcase has been developed according to a specific theme and for a particular target group: • "Vintage, modern, or retro?": a suitcase with intergenerational content that aims to foster exchanges between seniors and young people outside the school setting. This suitcase is aimed at people aged 7 to 99, families, nursing homes, neighborhood and youth centers, youth movements, ... • "La Belgique for beginners": a suitcase that is the ideal starting point to introduce novices to some favorite objects, typical of or invented by Belgians. This suitcase is intended for people learning French (FLE, DASPA) or Dutch (NT2, OKAN). • "Stories from here and elsewhere": a suitcase intended for schools that wish to explore the theme of migration through various stories about people from here and elsewhere. This suitcase is intended for classes from 5th grade primary to 2nd grade secondary. • "Time Capsule": a capsule based on the concept of a memory box that will take the elderly on a journey through time using objects from past daily life. These objects refer to hobbies, board games, sports, and music. The box is intended for the elderly, nursing homes, day centers, ... Practical information These activities are carried out independently (without a BELvue facilitator). The activity is carried out by you by the person of your choice. Suitcase dimensions: cabin luggage (55x45x25cm) Duration of the activity: 1h30-2h/suitcase. This varies depending on the group and the number of activities carried out. Preparation for the activity is highly recommended. All documents can be downloaded online. Rental is free, only transport costs are at your expense. Reservation must be made at least two weeks in advance.
