For the first time … Enchantingly beautiful voices! Trio Cyrene unites three exceptional singers. Their individual careers have already taken them to some of Europe's most prestigious opera houses and concert halls. As an ensemble, they explore the intimate beauty of Baroque vocal music alongside the timeless melodies of traditional folk songs. With a focus on clarity, fusion, and expressive storytelling, the trio's programs are based on a unique mix of historically informed performances and fresh, contemporary arrangements. Many of these arrangements have been written especially for the ensemble. Centuries-old music feels breathed with new life … a timeless joy of singing together. A large part of Trio Cyrene's repertoire is performed a cappella, allowing the purity of the voices and the natural interaction between the singers to come into their own. Occasionally they are also accompanied, which adds a delicate instrumental dimension to the sound. The performance is part of the ‘Passie voor Klassiek’ project of the inter-municipal cultural cooperation association IGCS.
