Practical info:
Registering in advance for a tour can be done via Info@fortoelegem.be.
Even on a hot summer day, it is often only 10 °C inside the fort building. Moreover, it can be very damp there with puddles in the corridors. Keep this in mind when you visit our fort and provide sturdy, waterproof shoes and warm clothing. By default, there is no lighting present in the fort. Your own flashlight can certainly come in handy.
Accessibility:
On the website of Tourism for Autism, you can download a visual step-by-step plan and an appointment sheet. You can use this to prepare for your visit to the fort. The tour through the fort runs along corridors with uneven cobblestones. In addition, the route we follow also contains some stairs and thresholds. Our standard tours are therefore too dangerous and not accessible for wheelchair users and strollers. Do you have questions about accessibility?
