Theater performance "Lifeline"

Fri, 19 Jun 2026 · 14:30
CC De Dijk, Bruges
€10
LIFELINE follows the story of a young woman who has packed her bags to go on a trip when she discovers she has cancer. She refuses to give in to the illness and dances bald in a nightclub during her chemo sessions. When she recovers but becomes chronically ill, picking up the pieces proves more difficult than expected: does she still dare to take the plunge? In clear and poetic language, the audience gets a glimpse into the world of hospitals and the life of a twenty-something with cancer and type 1 diabetes. Lifeline is a vibrant and musical story about chasing dreams and daring to change course. What starts as a personal story grows into an invitation for the audience to reflect on questions we often avoid: how do we deal with (chronic) illness? What does it mean to be vulnerable, and how do you find strength in that? Lifeline is a performance for young and old, for those who have been confronted with illness themselves, or in their surroundings, for healthcare professionals... and for everyone interested in the Fika theme: being sick and being healthy is something you do together! 10€ - incl. drink and after-talk with Meike ,
