A sea of science: What does the sea sound like when we really listen? - Jonge Academie

Thu, 6 Aug 2026 · 11:00
VUB aan Zee, Ostend
€17
Milieupsychologe Marine Severin (VLIZ) investigates what listening to sea sounds does to our well-being. Kunstenaar Elise Guillaume brings an audio and video work with Waves of Resonance about human, biological, and geophonic sounds from the North Sea. Together, they invite the audience for an experience between science, listening, and imagination. Before and after the listening session, it is asked what the sea does to our body, our attention, and our feelings. A morning about sound, disturbance, resonance, care, and decreasing stress levels. --- Partners: Vlaamse Overheid, Nationale Loterij
