LAZARUS and the NUT

Stuffed, the gentlemen and ladies in the sauna continue to make their shady deals, dampen their emotional lives, hide their desires, and avoid each other's eyes. Blind to the tipping point that will change life irrevocably and revolutionarily. After which the world will be divided into a before and after. Witte Weelde is an exploration of willful powerlessness, wearing time, disturbed communication between people, and the human striving (and failure) for meaning and connection. A tragedy and comedy at the same time. After 10 years of working together, Het NUT and LAZARUS join forces for this theater performance. With their love for Russian classics, the humor and tragedy of life, theater as a mirror for the world and society, and how people behave (or misbehave) in it as foundations. One is not always made happy by reality, Witte Weelde brings sobering insights but also discharge and relief.
