Library on the square

Kick off the summer holidays properly together with de Bib Leuven Heverlee. On July 1st, the library moves outside for one day. At the playground of Sint-Lambertusplein, you will find a cozy reading terrace where you can participate in various activities. ACTIVITIES Ongoing between 2 PM - 5 PM: ‘Make your own comic button’ workshop : create a button that perfectly suits you using old comic books and magazines. XL Games : we are bringing a whole bunch of giant toys. Will you beat your brother, grandma, or friend at Connect Four or giant Mikado? Leeswedstrijd Bestemming Bib : come pick up your travel passport and read your way through 4 destinations all summer long. Those who read along have a chance to win a suitcase full of books. from 2:30 PM - 3:30 PM: Alfapret reading hour : the Alfapret volunteers have picked the best travel books from the shelf. Will you read along to Spain, Norway, or the sea? from 2:30 PM - 4:30 PM: Creative workshop 'pimp the reading tent!': we are building a cardboard reading tent together. We will cut, paste, and draw all over the tent. Afterwards, the reading tent will get a spot in de Bib Leuven Heverlee. This workshop is in collaboration with Karen Verachtert. at 4 PM: Voorstelling Boekenjukebox : De Koninklijke Harmonie De Overgave is a two-headed book jukebox. You choose a book from the selection or bring your own favorite book. Jan and Bram will turn the story into an audio story on the spot. That usually goes well, and sometimes completely wrong.
