Kantilene sings 'Borderless Christmas' & Misa Criolla

Dear music lover You probably know the choir Kantilene from Aalst. With 80 members, it has become one of the largest choirs in Flanders and has been led by Martine Van de Voorde since its inception. We cordially invite you to one of our upcoming concerts titled "Boundless Christmas". Kantilene chooses to present a Christmas concert this year that is different from usual. This time, no traditional Christmas carols, but a selection of songs coming from all compass points and connected by a message of peace. We supplement all of this with a work by Ariel Ramirez, “Misa Criolla”. For this, we are happy to be accompanied by an instrumental ensemble that will undoubtedly sweep us away on an atmospheric, typical South American rhythm. Our soloists are Elly Aerden and Jan Van Rossem, both teachers of folk singing at the academies of Lebbeke and Sint-Niklaas.
