Beauty in the Fen area

We visit some beautiful parts of the Vennengebied, but we don't do this by walking. All that beauty is not neatly next to each other, but a bit spread out over the Vennengebied and so we make it a bike ride. Walking is of course also possible, but then we won't be back at 4 PM. So cycling. We cycle to the Hoogmoerheide and the new part in the northeast, which was redesigned in 2025. After that, we cycle to the Kampheide, dry heathland grassland, where the broom blooms massively in the spring. Via the Proost grounds, we complete the circle and return to our starting point. At all these locations, you can notice that nitrogen deposition has an influence on the heath and trees. This also has consequences for management. Come and enjoy the beautiful nature in these areas where nature and diversity are restored in their full glory. A bicycle is essential and binoculars are also always useful.
